Study in
Australia.

Strong post-study work rights and real incentives to study outside Sydney and Melbourne. This is what Australia costs and requires.

The Advantage

Why Choose Australia?

Australia boasts some of the most livable and student-friendly cities in the world, combining an outstanding educational system with breathtaking natural beauty.

It is highly sought after by international students for its pioneering research facilities and very generous post-study work visas, making it a brilliant investment for your future.

The Process

Pathways & Requirements

University Applications

We assist you in finding the right programs across Australia's Group of Eight and other leading regional universities.

Post-Study Work Visa

The Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485) lets you work full time after graduating. How long you get depends on your qualification and where you studied, and regional study adds to it.

English Requirements

We provide full guidance on accepted English proficiency exams like IELTS, PTE Academic, and TOEFL for Australian universities.

Subclass 500 Visa

We work through the Subclass 500 application with you, including the Genuine Student requirement, which replaced the old GTE test in March 2024 and is assessed more strictly.

Working While Studying

Student visas allow up to 48 hours a fortnight while your course is running, with no cap during scheduled breaks. Research master’s and doctoral students have no limit at all.

Health Cover (OSHC)

Overseas Student Health Cover is compulsory and must run for your entire visa period, not just your course. It is paid upfront and is one of the costs people most often leave out of their budget.

The detail

What Australia actually requires

Australia has the highest visa fee and the highest funds requirement of any destination on this site. It also has the clearest reward for studying somewhere other than Sydney.

The funds requirement is the highest here

You must show genuine access to AUD 29,710 for twelve months of living costs, on top of a full year of tuition and return travel. Dependants add further amounts. It is not enough for the balance to be there on the day — the money needs a history behind it, and funds evidence is where most otherwise-solid applications fail.

The visa charge is non-refundable

The Subclass 500 application charge for the main applicant is around AUD 2,500, having risen from AUD 1,600 over recent years. You do not get it back if you are refused. Confirm the current figure with the Department’s own pricing estimator before you lodge, since it has moved more than once.

Genuine Student replaced GTE

Since March 2024 the Genuine Student requirement has replaced the old Genuine Temporary Entrant test, and it is assessed more strictly. Officers look at whether your course makes sense given what you have studied before, your finances, your immigration history and your ties to home. A weak statement here is now the leading reason these applications are refused.

Studying regionally is worth real money

Australia actively pushes students away from Sydney and Melbourne. Study in a designated regional area — Adelaide, Perth, Hobart and others — and you can gain extra years on the graduate visa plus points toward skilled migration. Rent is lower too. For anyone whose plan is to stay, this is usually the better decision.

Health cover for the whole visa, paid upfront

Overseas Student Health Cover is compulsory and must span your entire visa period rather than just your course dates. It is paid in advance, and it is the cost most often missing from people’s budgets.

What you can earn while studying

Up to 48 hours a fortnight while your course is running, and no cap during scheduled breaks. Research master’s and doctoral students have no restriction. Australian wages are high, so this genuinely offsets living costs — but it cannot be part of the funds you show at application, which must exist beforehand.

Requirements checked 9 September 2026. The visa charge in particular has changed more than once, so confirm it against the Department of Home Affairs pricing estimator. The cost calculator shows the first-year figure, separating what you spend from what you only need to show.
